Your cursor follows your eyes.
With several monitors, you look at another screen and the cursor is still stuck on the old one. Glance watches your webcam, works out which monitor you are looking at, and moves the cursor there. No eye-tracking hardware needed.
How it works
Everything runs locally on your computer. The camera image never leaves it.
Track your face
MediaPipe Face Landmarker turns every webcam frame into head rotation, iris position and eye-direction features.
Calibrate once
Follow a red dot across your monitors. Glance learns which screen you look at, and roughly where on it.
Glide the cursor
When your gaze rests on another monitor, the cursor glides smoothly to where you are looking.
Manual control always wins
Glance never fights your trackpad or mouse.
- Hands on, gaze offNo jumps while you move, click, drag or scroll, and for a short grace period after.
- Your choice sticksMove the cursor to one monitor while reading another, and Glance leaves it there until your gaze moves somewhere new.
- No jitterBrief glances are ignored. Your gaze has to rest on a monitor before the cursor jumps.
- Typing is safeNo jumps while you type. Pause everything at any time with Ctrl+Alt+G.
Install
One command. It installs everything Glance needs, then walks you through setup in about a minute.
curl -fsSL https://sorena-paydar.github.io/Glance/install.sh | sh
irm https://sorena-paydar.github.io/Glance/install.ps1 | iex
Paste it into Terminal (macOS), your shell (Linux) or PowerShell (Windows).
Permissions, camera, calibration
Glance appears on your Desktop and opens. On macOS it opens the right System Settings pages for Camera, Accessibility and Input Monitoring, then you follow a red dot across your monitors.
Open Glance from your Desktop
It sits in your menu bar. Pause with Ctrl+Alt+G. Moved your monitors? It notices and recalibrates.
One command too
glance desktop --remove && uv tool uninstall glance
Try it in your browser
The demo uses the same face features and switching rules as the app, right in this page. Browsers can't move your real cursor, so it shows where Glance would move it.
